About Us

Pacific Inherent Relations International (PIRI) is a Pacific-centred, inherent-led body engaged in global relations, knowledge transmission, and spiritual guardianship. We operate from the understanding that Mana Tuku Iho -  "inherent authority" is not symbolic or historical, but living and active — carried through genealogy (whakapapa), responsibility, and relationship. PIRI exists to uphold this authority while engaging the contemporary world with integrity, discipline, and care.

Anchored in the Pacific - Aotearoa and active trans-oceanically, including Afro-Pacific relationships, PIRI works across grassroots, community, tribal groupings, governmental, and international spaces. Our approach is relational and restrained , intergenerational rather than short-term, and grounded in respect for Mana Tūpuna "ancestral law", tikanga (Mauri-centric governing systems), and  Tino Rangatiratanga - Sovereignty. PIRI is not an advocacy organisation, consultancy, or service provider. We do not seek to replace existing structures or speak on behalf of others. Instead, we hold space for relationship, dialogue, and guardianship — guided by ancestral authority and accountable to future generations.

Our work is carried through unity between land, ocean, and cosmos, the protection and transmission of knowledge, and the ethical responsibility to care for the living world. We engage where relationships require grounding, where authority must be respected, and where inherent perspectives must be carried with integrity. PIRI exists to stand — calmly, clearly, and consistently — in service of futures shaped by responsibility rather than power, and by intentions that are stable and grounding.
