National Relationships

                   Te Hiku Waipunaariki

National relationships within Pacific Inherent Relations International (PIRI) are shaped through shared work, grounded presence, and deep respect for place-based inherent authority. Rather than operating above communities, PIRI moves alongside them, recognising that authority, knowledge, and responsibility reside locally and are strengthened through cooperation, not oversight.

These relationships develop through practical collaboration, cultural alignment, and the careful navigation of responsibility between hapū (tribal communities), whānau, and regional bodies. National engagement is therefore relational, adaptive, and responsive, allowing each relationship to reflect the character, priorities, and responsibilities of the people involved. Through this approach, PIRI supports durable and enduring connections that strengthen collective direction while preserving the integrity, autonomy, and inherent authority of local leadership. PIRI has enduring relationships with;
